About Us
Absolute Cheer and Tumbling Ltd was established in 2007 by Jocelyn Lefteruk and Sonja Aquila, visionary friends who laid the foundation for the North Shore's premier Cheer and Tumbling Club. Merging their respective clubs; Vancouver Academy and Seaside Athletics, marked the inception of a dynamic journey. In 2008, the company found its own private space in North Vancouver, where it began cultivating all-star cheerleaders and tumblers, achieving numerous successes and international championship titles.
Presently after 16 successful seasons, Sonja remains devoted, working alongside an exceptional staff to impart knowledge and skills to athletes of all ages. Nestled in the heart of North Vancouver, our company, takes pride in delivering unparalleled programs in Cheerleading and Tumbling, catering to over 400 athletes across various programs.
Our coaches stand as leaders in the All-Star Cheer and tumbling world. Our teams consistently secure podium finishes in provincial, national, and international competitions. Notable achievements include being World’s Finalists in 2010, 2012, 2013, 2019, and 2023, with a remarkable 6th place at the Cheerleading World Championships in 2019 and a 13th place finish in 2023.
At Absolute, our commitment extends beyond the accomplishments on the mat. Our coaches prioritize safety and technique, aiming to provide athletes with not just an engaging and challenging experience, but also one where they feel respected and valued. We go the extra mile to make the biomechanics of cheer and tumbling enjoyable for everyone while also fostering a gym culture that makes every athlete feel seen and loved.
